Welcome
    On behalf of the editorial team of the Journal of Sport History, I welcome you to our website where you can find out how to become a member of the North American Society of Sport History (which has sponsored the journal since 1974), submit articles to the JSH, and peruse back issues. 
    Each issue of the JSH features academic articles, book reviews and a forum in which scholars debate significant topics. During Wray Vamplew's tenure as editor, we introduced a series of essays on sources and methods in sport history and a section that examines how classic sport history books have stood the “test of time.” Additionally, we publish research notes, lists of dissertations, film, and museum exhibition reviews. Unique among sport history journals, the JSH makes extensive use of visual material.
